COMTO is a national not-for-profit organization founded in 1971, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. COMTO was created to provide a forum for senior minority professionals in the transportation industry.

COMTO Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Minority Contractors Association (RMMCA) have joined together to bring you a collaborative training program designed to aid members of the DBE and SBE contracting community develop the skills needed for success in the transportation industry.

Sponsored by the primes with which you want to work, the program focuses on education and technical training on how to estimate and bid projects, market your business, develop proposals and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations in workforce development and management.

Spring DBE Reverse Trade Fair a success!

Last month’s DBE Reverse Trade Fair was a huge success. Twenty-three DBE firms had the opportunity to network and showcase their skills to 10 different prime contractors. One participant reported four potential contracts as a result of the event!

Because of the success of the event, the Michigan Department of Transportation has asked COMTO Colorado to assist them in establishing a similar DBE Reverse Trade Fair.

COMTO is also pleased to announce that by the conclusion of the event, we had seven new members!
